Hosmed Medical Aid Scheme amalgamated with Sizwe Medical Fund in November 2021 to form Sizwe Hosmed Medical Fund. At the time of the merger, the combined entity had more than 67,000 members and combined reserves of R1.4 billion, with a solvency level of 49.4%.

If you were a Hosmed member
Former Hosmed members became Sizwe Hosmed Medical Fund members at the November 2021 amalgamation. Sizwe Hosmed was placed under provisional curatorship by the Gauteng High Court in September 2025 due to a sustained solvency collapse. See the Sizwe Hosmed profile for current status.
