What changed on Turnberry gap cover

Every one of the 65 benefit limits we can compare went up, a median of +9.1% against a median premium rise of +7.5%.

AURA holds every Turnberry benefit limit for both 2026 and 2027 and compares them in rands, benefit by benefit, across all 6 policies — so an existing Turnberry member can see whether their cover kept up with their premium instead of being told a percentage.

Comparable means a benefit both years state with a rand figure of its own. A benefit written as “subject to the overall annual limit” has no figure to compare, and is not counted here.

About the percentage on the front of the brochure

Every Turnberry policy carries the same medical-scheme-rate multiplier in 2027 as in 2026. On its own that says nothing about what you get. The multiplier is a percentage of the medical scheme rate, and that rate rises every year — so an unchanged 500% buys more rands in 2027 than it did in 2026. The figures on this page are rands against rands, which is the comparison that answers the question.
